That change in the way taxes are withheld took place during the Clinton Administration. Allegedly, there were too many people getting such sums of money and then not paying their "fair share". It really is a kind of sucky way for the Government to glom onto your money and use it interest free.
I think that it is fantastic that Palin was chosen for the v.p, slot. If it had been Romney, the Dems would have replayed tapes of Romney badmouthing McCain just as the Republicans are replaying tapes of Biden badmouthing Obama.
Palin is a conservative woman who is re-energizing the Party.
