Mike I am posting here, because I can't at Pax Nortona, but you left an attack on NOoC, but I can't respond there, heck he can't even defend himself there, so here it is and you can delete it later, or send it on to the guy there, but I know you and I thought hey....
There are many different types of views in the world, Mike (name used as it is given above) has one, I have one, NOoC has one, and Joel you have one. I think what Mike has considered poor treatment is the fact that he has a seperate view than NOoC and while some of the comments he makes might seem to be a "put down" NOoC is the first to say he is sorry if called on it, and in his review he sees where it might have been misconstrued.
His comments are no more inflamatory than someone saying people are religious because they don't know better. heck, there has been wars fought over that subject.
Now I am a reader of Mikes site, and found my way to this post because of it. While Mike worked with NOoC, I still do and knew immediately who Mike was talking about.
Take it for what its worth, NOoC is not a bad guy, he is just a guy set in his belief
I am horrible speller, and this may have numerous mistakes.
BTW to stay on topic, if I buy a gift for you will your gift to me be of equal or lessor cost, and what if I don't have a wish list?
Posted by Scarlet Spider at December 3, 2003 09:13 AMAnother thing, does the CF card have to be Viking?
Posted by Scarlet Spider at December 3, 2003 09:24 AMI'm not the only person that has problems with NOC - as seen by responses by Joel, and by my other readers here, and on the Owners Box, NOC's style doesn't mesh well. I haven't blocked his comments here, because I usually like the discussion he fosters. But I have considered it. I welcome other ideas and points of view, but my expirience with NOC, as well as the expiriences of others, have made us not want to deal with him.
As for on topic stuff, I'll buy you something in the same range of price if you buy me something. But if you don't have a guest list, you get whatever I think you want, which may be frightening.
